The Light of a Gesture is an original abstract sumi-e painting created with wet and dry brushstrokes, ink, water, and spaciousness. The sweeping black forms move across the paper with both strength and restraint, suggesting the way a single gesture can hold darkness, light, movement, and presence.

Part of my Meditations in Ink series, this work invites quiet attention and personal discovery. Each painting in this series is one of a kind; variations, irregularities, and subtle imperfections are part of the living quality of ink, brush, and handmade process.
